Miao Life is a foundation created in early 2008 to help the local Miao minority in the North-East Guangxi province, Rongshui County, Danian district. We mainly operate in the education sector by providing help to local primary schools ( books, stationery, school bags, equipment donations, etc¡­. )

We are raising funds through FAIR TRADE (sales of bag collections with our registered brand name in China "MIAO LIFE" of which 100% of profit sales, go directly to the foundation) and various fundraising activities in Guangzhou and Xiamen.

Thanks to the 2009 fundraisings activities (Miao Life Terrace Café, Miao Life St-Nicolas party) and product sales profits, we have developed our first project last September 2009, in Danian area, to the Linglang primary school. Miao Life has provided about 500 books to the newly refurbished library. A 20 mins DVD movie has been made to relate the book remittance to the school and is available upon request.

With the remaining funds available from the year 2009 and the 2010 upcoming activities, we plan to deliver for the next back to school period (September 2010) the following :

• note books
• pens and stationery
• books
• uniform clothing in the traditional local style

We do believe that this will help the young students to enjoy their schooling and then enhance their desire to study for their future in society.
